Having worked in the art world for two decades, Robyn Borgelt has gained extensive knowledge of the ever-fluctuating art market. Robyn’s expertise lies in advising on exclusive secondary market art while assisting in curating some of the most prestigious collections in the United States. Her area of expertise is 19th and 20th century American Artists, with a focus on American Modernist artists, specifically the “Stieglitz Circle,” American Abstract Expressionist, and Post-War female artists. She has comprehensive market knowledge of Georgia O’Keeffe and has advised in the buying and selling of some of the most important paintings by the artist privately and as a representative at auction. This ultimately contributed to her decision to make the move to Santa Fe, New Mexico, after spending 15 years in New York City. While obtaining an MA in American Fine and Decorative Art from the University of Manchester, UK through the Sotheby’s Institute of Art program, Robyn wrote her dissertation on Jacob Lawrence and his impact on American Modernism.

Robyn began her professional career at Christie’s Auction House in New York City, and after several years, pivoted to work with a preeminent New York art dealer, focusing on American 19th and early 20th century artists. During her tenure, Robyn became Managing Partner and Director of Sales, dealing with high end secondary market works, with many sales reaching the eight figure mark. During this time she broadened her focus to Post-War and Contemporary works. In 2019 she moved to Santa Fe, NM and joined on as Director for Gerald Peters Gallery where she worked on private sales, focusing on selling secondary market pictures. Robyn branched out on her own to start RB Advisory in the summer of 2024.

Robyn resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico along with her husband and two children, and regularly travels the globe for her clients’ needs.
